BIO:

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Prof. Dr. Jan de Vries at the Department of Applied Bioinformatics of University of Göttingen, Germany. My research focuses on large-scale phylogenomics and comparative functional genomics analyses to study the molecular basis of plant terrestrialization, particularly through the lens of gene and genome duplication. Before moving to Germany, I have completed my PhD at VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology, Ghent University, Belgium, where I worked on the inference and evolutionary significance of ancient polyploidy in plants. My main research interest is to decipher the genomic underpinnings of plants’ ecology and evolution within a systems biology framework.
