Studying at the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology
Research into one of the most fascinating ecosystems on earth and future-oriented, sustainable forestry are the core aspects of the Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology course.
The adventure of researching the forest takes place every day at the university and decodes the interaction between plants, animals, people, the environment, society and politics.
Sustainable management, ecology and nature conservation as well as the role of the forest as a place for leisure and recreation are integral parts of modern forestry. The balancing functions of the forest are part of a vital contribution to climate protection. And wood is an important renewable raw material that is increasingly being used in modern biotechnological processes. The great challenge of today's forestry lies in bringing all these factors together.
