Laura Wedemeyer, M.Sc.
Laura Wedemeyer is a Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Development Economics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Fuchs. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Göttingen University, with a semester abroad at Peking University in China.
During her doctoral studies, Laura conducted research stays at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne (France, 2024) and AidData at William & Mary (USA, 2023), and a teaching stay at Fudan University (China, 2024).
Her research interests lie in development economics, political economy, history of economic thought, and ecological and environmental economics.
