Theresa Wiedmann, M.Sc.

Theresa Wiedmann is an external doctoral candidate at the Chair of Development Economics at the University of Göttingen (supervised by Prof. Dr. Andreas Fuchs) and a consultant at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. Previously, she worked there as an Operations Analyst, where she dealt with international development finance and economic development.

Theresa received her Master's degree in Business & Development Studies from Copenhagen Business School in 2019, where her thesis focused on the economic development of Chinese Special Economic Zones in Nigeria measured by Nighttime Light Data. Theresa completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Politics and Economics at Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen.

Her research interests lie in development economics, political economy, private sector mobilisation and the use of innovative data sources.
