Application for the PhD programme

If you wish to enrol on the Doctoral Programme for Obtaining the Degree of „PhD“, you must first apply to the Faculty of Theology.

The application documents necessary for this are listed in § 4 of the Regulations on the Entry Requirements.

Please note, above all, that a supervision agreement is a mandatory part of the application documents. This must be signed by a professor of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Göttingen (cf. the staff directory).

You can submit your application documents by email or by post to the Office of the Dean of Studies.

Once your application has been successful, you will receive an acceptance letter by email, along with information on the enrolment process and the appointment of your supervision committee.
