AI Events & Workshops

On this page you will find an overview of our events on the topic of AI. Additional training sessions, for example on Stud.IP, the use of smartboards, etc., can be found under the tab Events. The Digital Learning and Teaching Team offers (online and in person) training sessions and events, sometimes in close collaboration with the Higher Education Didactics.
We also offer individual consultations, either alone or in collaboration with your colleagues.



The AI teaching workshop offers you the opportunity to actively try out various tools with the help of different tasks after a brief introduction to the topic of AI, and then discuss their potential use in your teaching with other instructors. Please register via the form below.

The Online Teaching Dialog (OLD) is a series of events that regularly addresses current topics around teaching and learning (in online settings). These topics often relate to AI in the higher education context. Practical tips and tricks for teaching are discussed, and an exchange of experiences among participants is facilitated. In this workshop, we will examine writing processes in the academic context, which are significantly changing due to the use of AI. In the workshop, you will receive suggestions and concrete methods so that you can teach your students writing competencies that enable a reflective and responsible use of AI. The workshop is open to all instructors from all faculties.

The sub-project "AI in Teaching, Learning, and Exams" is a joint initiative of all public universities in Lower Saxony. Instructors are to be enabled to develop AI competencies and use AI reflectively and responsibly. The previous series of events "AI Kompakt" will be continued in the summer semester 2026. Topics will include academic writing and working with AI, as well as exams with AI and regulations around AI in higher education. The individual sessions offer an input (approximately 30–40 minutes) followed by time to exchange with the speakers and among participants.

The online workshops from the series "AI Competencies for Instructors" are open to external participants. Various possibilities for using AI in education will be discussed. Teachers will be equipped with the necessary competencies to use AI tools reflectively and purposefully in teaching.
