New training opportunities

Several exciting events will take place in June.
For example, on 10 June 2026, the workshop OER Fundamentals and Practical Use Cases will be offered. During this event, you will gain an introduction to the fundamentals of Open Educational Resources (OER) and learn through practical examples how open teaching and learning materials can be successfully integrated into higher education teaching.

In addition, a variety of events focusing on AI will be held. One example is the Leuphana Workshop: AI Competencies for Educators on 09 June 2026. This workshop explores different ways of using AI in education and aims to equip educators with the skills needed to apply AI tools thoughtfully and effectively in their teaching.

Following a short introduction to the topic of AI, participants will have the opportunity to actively test various tools through different practical tasks and subsequently discuss potential applications in their own teaching with fellow educators.

Furthermore, the event series AI Compact will take place on 09, 15, and 26 June 2026. Topics will include academic writing and working with AI, assessments involving AI, and regulations concerning the use of AI in higher education teaching. Each session consists of a presentation (approximately 30–40 minutes), followed by time for discussion and exchange with both the speakers and other participants.
